Week 3 Sunday — Walking with the Word
Sunday: Sabbath Rest
Sunday: Sabbath Rest
Today we rest. We pause from new input to let this week’s truths settle deeply into our hearts. As you enter this Sabbath space, bring your gratitude, your questions, and your hope before the Lord. He is not anxious about your progress. He delights in your presence.
Prayer Prompts
Thanksgiving
Lord, thank You for what You’ve shown me this week through Your Word. Thank You for teaching me what faith looks like—believing before seeing, hope before the outcome, trust before the provision. Thank You that You are my portion, the totality of who You are, an inexhaustible supply of love, mercy, and grace. Thank You for the way You’ve used even affliction as a classroom, teaching me what I could never learn in comfort. I’m grateful that through Jesus, I have full access to You—the veil is torn, the way is open. Thank You for sanctifying me in Your truth and sending me into the world with purpose.
Surrender
Father, I acknowledge the places where Your Word has challenged me this week. I confess the times I’ve waited for relief before trusting You, demanded circumstances to change before I worshiped, looked for satisfaction in things rather than in You as my portion. I confess the areas where I’ve been slow to hasten in obedience, where I’ve resisted Your sanctifying work, where I’ve withdrawn from the world instead of engaging it on mission. I surrender these to You now. Continue Your transforming work in me. Sanctify me in Your truth. Make me holy. Set me apart for Your purposes.
Anticipation
Lord, as I look toward the week ahead, I ask for fresh courage to stand firm when the world mocks my faith. Give me holy passion for Your Word. Not just to defend it, but to live it and love it above all else. Help me hasten to obey, to turn my feet quickly to Your testimonies when I see myself wandering. Remind me that You have overcome the world, that the battle is already won, and that I’m safe in You. Let Your Word continue to be more valuable to me than any earthly treasure. Send me into the world as You sent Jesus—with confidence, with Your truth, with love.
Rest
Jesus, right now I simply rest in Your presence. I’m not performing. I’m not striving. I’m not trying to earn anything. I’m just here with You. You are my portion. All of You. You are the way, the truth, and the life. You have overcome the world. Your Word is sanctifying me, changing me from the inside out. I am Yours, and You are mine. In that truth, I find peace - peace in the middle of tribulation, comfort in the middle of affliction, satisfaction in the middle of uncertainty. You are enough.
May the Lord bless you and keep you this week. May His face shine upon you and give you peace. Walk in the light of His Word, and rest in the assurance of His unfailing love.
We’ll continue our journey Monday with Week 4.
