Week 2 Sunday — Walking with the Word
Sunday - Sabbath Rest
Sunday - Sabbath Rest
Today we rest. We pause from new input to let this week’s truths settle deeply into our hearts. As you enter this Sabbath space, bring your gratitude, your questions, and your hope before the Lord. He is not anxious about your progress. He delights in your presence.
Prayer Prompts
Thanksgiving
Lord, thank You for what You’ve shown me this week through Your Word. Thank You for meeting me in the dust, for giving life according to Your Word, for causing transformation I could never manufacture on my own. Thank You for enlightening the eyes of my heart, for showing me what I already possess in Christ. Thank You for the shift from plea to promise, from clinging to walking, from sorrow to delight. I’m grateful for the work You’ve already begun in me—work I may not fully see yet, but work that is real and ongoing … I feel it! Thank You for being patient with me, for meeting me where I am, and for inviting me to walk with You.
Surrender
Father, I acknowledge the places where Your Word has challenged me this week. I confess the hardness of my heart—the compacted paths, the shallow rocks, the choking thorns. I see the gap between my declarations and my follow-through, between what I profess and how I live. I surrender the soil of my heart to You now. Continue Your transforming work in me. Help me cooperate with Your Holy Spirit in preparing good soil—breaking up hardness, removing obstacles, pulling out thorns by the roots. Shape my heart to love what You love and delight in Your Word above all else.
Anticipation
Lord, as I look toward the week ahead, I ask for fresh hunger for Your Word. Give me eyes that see, ears that hear, and a heart that responds. I don’t know what challenges or opportunities await, but I trust that Your Word will be my lamp and my light. Continue to cause me to learn, to follow, to incline my heart toward You. Help me move from plea to promise, from good intentions to fruitful obedience. Lead me forward in faithfulness. Let the declarations I’ve made this week bear actual fruit—thirty, sixty, a hundredfold—because You are the Lord of the Harvest.
Rest
Jesus, right now I simply rest in Your presence. I’m not performing. I’m not striving. I’m not trying to earn anything. I’m just here with You. You are enough. Your Word is enough. Your love is enough. Let this Sabbath remind me that You are the One who sustains me, not my efforts or achievements. You give life. You enlarge hearts. You prepare soil. You produce fruit. I am Yours, and You are mine. In that truth, I find peace.
May the Lord bless you and keep you this week. May His face shine upon you and give you peace. Walk in the light of His Word, and rest in the assurance of His unfailing love.
We’ll continue our journey Monday with Week 3.
